We had a wonderful sunny morning with our little man celebrating the big O-N-E!

Landon decided to start of the party by taking off his pants and putting on some boots (on the wrong feet, of course).

School Pictures Spring 2013

On the Homefront

There's nothing too exciting going on these days at the old homestead, but I thought I'd share some everyday photos nonetheless. We are gearing up for Anders birthday this weekend, although festivities will be small and simple (read: supplied by Costco and Safeway). I would have liked to put more thought into things but we got new countertops this past week and have taken on tiling the backsplash ourselves, so there have been some late and messy evenings. And trips to Home Depot. With both teething kids. A half hour drive. By myself. A few times now. Probably could have made one trip but when you are wrangling two kids under the age of three, you spend time chasing one down the aisle while the other one (literally) eats your shopping list.

The orange cart. Always a great idea until the kids want to get out by aisle two and you are stuck pushing the empty awkward mammoth around the store.

Mystery of the missing snacks is now solved. Caught in the act stealing Landon's goods.

When you want to go outside but you're too lazy to take your kid out of his footy pajamas, you shove his paws - PJs and all - into some shoes and throw on a hat.

I think I amuse myself too easily. When I was working on Anders' First Year video this week, I came across this old gem from early Landon days. And I laughed and I cooed. And I watched it again and laughed and oohed and awwwed some more.

I never posted it on the blog because I never finished it, but I thought I'd share it. Pardon the abrupt ending. Enjoy!

My Mom Dressed Me

Whenever I scroll through the everyday photos on my iPhone, I can't help but notice that I really don't dress the boys up in cute stuff very often. I mean, I think they look adorable in anything, but I'm starting to become more self aware that other kids at least somewhat match in public. And the kids that do look a little disheveled typically have the excuse that they dressed themselves. But Landon and Anders don't have that excuse: I dress them. Like lazy nerds. I dress them like lazy nerds. Much like myself I suppose.

I love that Landon has a friend to walk to the park with on any given day of the week. Vivian is one of the sweetest little girls I have ever met! I hope he marries her one day, jazzy pink leggings and all!

Welcome to Baby Camden!

Landon and Anders have a new cousin on board! Camden Drew Halvorson was born this afternoon in Annapolis, MD. Erik was lucky enough to be in town so he's able to get some newborn snuggle love. Congrats to Christian and Lauren!
